This week’s episode is all about us at Supernormal Greens, and how we’re growing thesalad of the future using technology, innovation, and a whole lot of curiosity.

The episode, titled “The Greenhouse Without Sunlight”, takes listeners inside our vertical farm in Tibro, where we use LED lights and a carefully optimized indoor ecosystem to give each plant the perfect conditions to thrive.
No windows. No soil. No pesticides. Just pure nutrition and flavor.


Our co-founder and Chief Research Officer, Erik Lundgren, shares how it all started back in 2017, during what became known in Sweden as the “lettuce crisis” – when crop fail uresin southern Europe left supermarket shelves empty. That’s when the idea was born: grow local salad, all year round, in a way that’s better for both people and planet.

“By adjusting the light, we can make rocket (arugula) contain five times more vitamin C,” says Erik in the episode.

is hosted by journalist Tomas Tengby, who visited our facility to explore how technology, climate control, and a healthy dose of plant nerdiness might be the key to a new kind of food security – in a repurposed factory in the middle of Sweden.
